Debunking 4 Myths about Vaping

Debunking 4 Myths about Vaping

If you buy an e-cigarette, it comes in many different shapes and flavors, and you can call them a vape pen or an e-cigarette. Even though vaping is illegal, reports have been that it is becoming more and more popular. Here we will discuss some of the myths about vaping.

  • E-cigarettes Are Less Addictive Compared To Tobacco Cigarettes

People think E-cigarettes Are Harmless. Most e-cigarettes do have nicotine in them. Many e-liquids have a lot of nicotine in them. Each cartridge has the same amount of nicotine as a whole pack of cigarettes.

It's not just water vapour with a flavor added to it. Nicotine-free e-juices have more than that. Many dangerous chemicals, like formaldehyde, which can cause air quality sensors to multifunction and infertility, are in these e-juices and harmful metals like lead and nickel. They're all in the form of an aerosol.

  • Vaping Can Help in Quitting Smoking

Unfortunately, the opposite is almost always true. Four times as many people who use e-cigarettes end up starting to smoke cigarettes than people who didn't use e-cigarettes at all in the first place.  About 80% of smokers who switch to e-cigarettes to stop smoking still use them a year later, because they have just switched one addiction for another. This is because they have simply traded one addiction for another.  It hasn't been safe or effective for vape smokers to use e-cigarettes to help them quit.

  • E-cigarette Only Contains Flavored Water Vapour

Most electronic cigarettes are made with a substance called nicotine. This means that they are just as addictive as cigarettes. If you think e-cigarettes are a better way to smoke than traditional cigarettes, think again. The people who use e-cigarettes are four times more likely to start smoking cigarettes than people who haven't tried them. You could become addicted to both e-cigarettes and tobacco.

  • It's Better to Start Vaping Than It Is To Start Tobacco Cigarettes

Even though e-cigarettes don't make smoke like a lit cigarette, they still have harmful chemicals like nicotine and volatile organic compounds. Because secondhand e-cigarette vapour smells better than secondhand cigarette vape smoke, the effects of secondhand vapour are very similar to the effects of secondhand tobacco smoke. Secondhand aerosol can cause breathing problems for children because their lungs are still growing.

This is why they are more at risk. Nicotine can harm adolescent brain development, causing attention deficits, memory problems, psychiatric disorders, cognitive impairment, and other problems.
